Consequences

Also known as Exquisite Corpse when used with drawing, consequences is a great game to be stupid and creative at the same time. Get a piece of paper, draw or write something at the top, fold it and pass it on to the person next to you.

The cover photo of these 3 awesome creatures is a collaboration piece from Alfred Cassels, Aila, Sim and myself. We evolved the game to also invent an identity for our beatiful beasts.

For this poetic piece, Vitor chose the theme WAR, I guess the rain outside contributed to the macabre state of mind...

The Sun rose over the empty battlefield

even in war I don’t pretend to hide my love apart

he stood in the mist holding out his fist

the tension is higher as I already can feel the fear

of my enemy’s eyes

it flew in my heart, but my body is bulletproof.

The sound of the first shot and I don’t know who I am,

where I belong

The noise was sudden, so loud I did not hear it

in the middle of this caos your love is what prevails

the sky shut down on the universe, finally hiding its story of shame in the heavy clouds.

I shot that man and there is nothing you can’t do

Castiglioncello and its clear waters appeared before us,

what it paradise?

This is not the same war anymore, I’m going back

nothing else left to think about but where did we leave our souls?

Everything is clear again and this lesson of war I’ll never forget

did it never exist or were we unable to see it?

I am sure it was watching us.
